Position Information: The Parts Counter Sales Person's main responsibility is to service customers. Requires parts knowledge and the use of parts catalogs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Qualifications: High School diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and comprehend instructions and information. Minimum of one year sales experience in an automotive Parts Department. Professional personal appearance. Ability to work well with people. Ability to handle several tasks at one time. Ability to lift, climb ladders, carry and retrieve truck parts and heavy components. Will be required to wear dealership-provided uniform. Some computer background and typing skills required.
Working Conditions: This is a physically demanding position. Will be required to move throughout the two-floor parts area all day, reaching and climbing to obtain parts from inventory. Will stand six to eight hours during a shift at the customer counter. When delivering parts to the Service Department and Body Shop, will be exposed to noise, dust, exhaust fumes, point and other hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
