Superintendent – Commercial Construction

We're partnering with a well-respected commercial general contractor in the Hartford area that's looking to bring on an experienced Superintendent to lead upcoming commercial projects. This is a great opportunity to join a company known for its strong reputation, consistent backlog, and supportive culture where field leadership truly drives success.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee all on-site construction activities from start to finish
  • Lead daily coordination with subcontractors, vendors, and the project management team
  • Maintain project schedules and ensure work stays on track and within budget
  • Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all jobsite regulations
  • Communicate regularly with clients, architects, and engineers to resolve field issues
  • Foster a team-oriented environment that delivers results and builds lasting relationships

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction (ground-up and / or interior fit-out)
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
  • Strong leadership and communication skills — able to motivate and manage field teams
  • Deep understanding of construction documents, scheduling, and jobsite logistics
  • OSHA certification and familiarity with Procore or similar project management software a plus
