Requirements :

  • Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. institution; foreign graduates must have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates.
  • Current medical license in the U.S., District of Columbia, or Puerto Rico.
  • Eligibility for board certification in psychiatry.
  • Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship.
  • Completion of a psychiatry residency program in the U.S.
  • Aged between 21 and 42 years; waivers available on a case-by-case basis.
  • U.S. citizenship.
