Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an experienced Integration Architect to lead solution design across a highly integrated, data-driven technology environment. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering, and product — translating business needs into scalable, secure, and interoperable systems that teams can build and operate confidently.
You will partner with product owners, engineers, security teams, and vendors to define integration patterns, guide technical decisions, and ensure delivery aligns to enterprise standards in a regulated environment.
This is a f ully remote that requires a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder eligible for a U.S. Public Trust clearance
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end integration and solution architecture for complex mission systems
- Convert operational and business requirements into clear, executable technical designs
- Define system boundaries, workflows, APIs, data flows, and interoperability models
- Document integration options and architectural tradeoffs and drive decisions forward
- Design solutions that handle sensitive regulated data (PHI / PII / CUI) with proper controls
- Create modernization and migration paths for legacy capabilities (including cutover and rollback)
- Align solutions with enterprise data models, hosting patterns, and platform standards
- Support Agile delivery teams with design clarification, risk identification, and implementation guidance
- Lead architecture reviews and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and accreditation requirements
- Produce architecture artifacts including diagrams, interface specs, data exchange patterns, and decision records
- Ensure architectures enable strong data, analytics, and emerging AI / ML capabilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in CS, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience8+ years in solution architecture, systems engineering, or application designExperience designing complex systems with significant integration points and multiple stakeholdersStrong understanding of application architecture, APIs, data flows, and system interoperabilityBackground working in regulated or compliance-oriented environments (Federal / DoD / Healthcare ideal)Comfortable in Agile delivery environments with cross-functional teamsClear communicator with strong documentation, decision-making, and problem-solving skillsCompensation and Benefits
