• Truck Driver I Department : Transportation Company : Associated Feed & Supply Full / Part-Time :  Full-time Location : Ontario, CA FLSA Status : Non-exempt (hourly) Shift : Days Rate of Pay : $22.00 to $24.00 per hour.
• SUMMARY Reporting to the Office Manager, the Truck driver is responsible for delivering sack feed to assigned animal feed stores and retail locations in a safe and efficient manner.  This position is responsible for the safe and legal operation of the company’s automatic semi-truck, dry van with lift gate and electric pallet jack, as well as timely delivery of product, comprehension of various transportation documents and operating necessary mechanical controls while demonstrating safe driving practices.  Will interact with customers in a professional and appropriate manner to ensure effective communication regarding customer problems and requests.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

Work in warehouse as needed or as a backup.  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of :

Strong work ethic – dependable and reliable Good interpersonal, oral and written communication skills High school graduate or equivalent Detail-oriented and thorough Valid California Class A commercial driver’s license Clean DMV record and current medical card Ability to commit to 40 hour work weeks, M-F (local deliveries, able to go home every evening) Forklift experience Liftgate and electric pallet jack experience is a plus Physical and mental requirements Frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, crawling, pushing, pulling and climbing Must be able to lift up to 50lbs Must be able to push up to 45lbs Constant use of overall vision; frequent reading and close-up work Working conditions Air conditioned semi-automatic newer truck Work is performed in outside weather conditions Note :
