Customer Support / Purchasing Specialist
AirMark Corporation is seeking a dynamic Customer Support / Purchasing Specialist to be part of our team. This position will provide top-notch customer service and support through phone and email communication, buying and order processing, quality control, and other special projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers via phone and email, offering support and information about our products and services
- Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, escalating complex issues to technical specialists
- Take proactive steps to resolve customer concerns and ensure satisfaction
- Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues related to inventory, invoicing, and purchasing
- Purchase product to maintain proper stock and perform stock forecasting
- Order and receive drop shipments
- Input and print orders, invoices, quotes, and pick slips in a timely and accurate manner
- Research inventory discrepancies
- Receive product invoices, perform invoice compilation, reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution
- Collect and enter orders for new or additional products or services
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors
- Initiate vendor returns in a timely manner with ownership to completion
Provide comprehensive product details, including specifications, pricing, availability, and alternative options
Efficiently process customer orders and returns, ensuring accuracy at all times
Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and feedback
Required Skills:
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to negotiate effectively with vendors to secure competitive pricing, expedited delivery, and purchasing terms
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering outstanding service and resolving customer issues
- Proficient computer skills, adaptable to learning new software platforms
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in customer service or support required
- 2-5 years purchaser/buyer experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a desk for extended periods, utilizing a computer
- Capable of lifting up to 25 pounds when necessary
