A company is looking for a DRG Integrity Specialist.
Key Responsibilities
Perform secondary level reviews of medical records and code assignments to ensure accurate DRG assignment
Utilize Accuity technology for tracking coding errors and data collection
Interact with physicians and management to provide recommendations for process improvement and ensure compliance
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Health Information Management preferred
Minimum 4 years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital facility
At least 2 years of experience related to specified duties
Coding credential required from AHIMA / AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC)
Knowledge of DRG reimbursement methodologies
