Our client, a global infrastructure and engineering organization, is seeking a Senior Construction Manager to oversee major water and wastewater treatment facility projects in the Hampton Roads / Virginia Beach area. You will be based at an active treatment plant, representing the owner on site and driving construction execution from early phases through completion in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day construction activities for large water and wastewater treatment facilities, including work sequencing, field coordination, and issue resolution in an operating-plant environment.
• Provide on-site construction management and inspection services on major capital projects, ensuring work follows plans, specifications, and contract requirements.
• Administer contracts, including review of RFIs, submittals, change documentation, progress reports, and contractor pay applications.
• Monitor and influence project schedules, using formal scheduling tools to track critical path activities and maintain milestones.
• Coordinate closely with design and project management teams to address construction challenges and support collaborative delivery approaches.
• Champion safety on site, leveraging formal safety training to support a strong safety culture for all parties.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with the owner, contractors, and stakeholders to keep communication clear and issues resolved quickly.
