Portfolio / Program Manager
Our client is seeking a Portfolio / Program Manager to support the evaluation and management of 100+ AI use cases through a structured governance process. This is a process-heavy role requiring someone who can navigate multiple stakeholder groups, manage workflows through a 12-step approval process, and keep initiatives moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Manage intake and evaluation of AI use cases through defined workflow process
- Coordinate with business stakeholders to understand use case requirements and value proposition
- Work with 12+ risk partners (compliance, security, legal, etc.) to shepherd use cases through approval process
- Document use case details, requirements, and risk assessments
- Track status of 6-7 concurrent use cases through the approval pipeline
- Facilitate meetings and communications between technical teams, business owners, and risk partners
- Maintain documentation and status reporting
Experience Requirements
7+ years experience in IT, business analysis, or program / portfolio managementExperience working in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare, government)Demonstrated ability to work with risk, compliance, or governance functionsStrong stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical audiencesProven ability to manage processes with multiple approval gates and dependenciesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience with project tracking and documentation toolsStrongly Preferred
Basic understanding of AI / ML concepts and terminology (GenAI, LLMs, RAG, etc.)Experience with AI governance, responsible AI, or technology risk managementFamiliarity with vendor evaluation or technology procurement processesBackground in financial servicesYou will succeed in this role if you are :
