Ultrasound Technologist RVT - Generalist

Job Description

We are searching for an Ultrasound Generalist RVT someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will prepare, administer, and document activities related to mediations in accordance with state regulations and institution policy. The Generalist is a liaison between patients, radiologist, and other members of the support team. As members of the health care team, they must participate in quality improvement processes and continually assess their professional performance. They are responsible for patient care, appropriate documentation, quality control, and quality improvement, and they provide training, education and mentoring to students, technologists, nursing, residents, fellows, staff, and others.

Qualifications :

• Graduate of a formal diagnostic Radiology program required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• RVT certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography acquired within 18 months of hire required
• RDMS-AB, RDMS-OB or RDMS-PS certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography required
• Registered Vascular Specialist by Cardiovascular Credentialing International may substitute for the RVT certification
