Position Overview

As a Metrology Engineer specializing in CMM programming and New Product Introduction (NPI), youll be instrumental in ensuring product quality and driving innovation. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and optimize CMM programs using Calypso software to support NPI and production operations.
  • Perform precision dimensional inspections to validate components, assemblies, and processes.
  • Partner with engineering and quality teams to establish measurement strategies.
  • Analyze inspection data and generate reports to inform product improvements.
  • Solve complex metrology challenges to support seamless product launches.
  • Enhance existing measurement processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage and maintain metrology equipment, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
  • Mentor team members on metrology techniques and best practices.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Proven expertise in CMM programming with advanced skills in Calypso software.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, dimensional inspection, and quality assurance principles.
  • Experience supporting New Product Introduction or similar manufacturing initiatives.
  • Hands-on proficiency with precision measurement tools and data analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills in metrology applications.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Certifications or specialized training in metrology or process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience in industries like aerospace, automotive, or medical devices.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar continuous improvement frameworks.
