Leidos is seeking an Senior Substation Site Civil Engineer to join our site / civil department to work on a variety of electric utility projects.

Typical projects involve site / civil design engineering for both large and small scale utility projects. Candidates who have commercial / industrial site development experience will also be considered for the position. Candidate will primarily function as a senior engineer performing design reviews on a regular basis, as well as developing junior staff members, and contributing to bids and proposal development.

This role will also consist of taking a responsible engineer role on main client projects, overseeing the work and ensuring quality control on design packages. Site-visits to client substation facilities are expected to be part of the work, along with occasional travel for client meetings and industry related events. Experience in front-facing client operations such as lunch and learns, and kick-off meetings if preferred. Candidate must comply with quality control and safe work practices and maintain compliance with project scope, schedule and budget expectations. This position will be a senior member of a design team comprised of engineers, designers, and drafting technicians.

Location : Candidate MUST reside in the Framingham, MA area or Walled Lake, MI area to work a 50 / 50 hybrid schedule.

Key Tasks :

• Land development permitting including NPDES, stormwater management, and knowledge of other typical local, state, and / or federal regulations and permit requirements
• Research additional site data through various sources
• Site layout, grading, and drainage design
• Stormwater modeling and design
• Erosion and sediment control design
• Access road design
• Utility coordination and design
• Retaining wall layout and design
• Documentation of all supporting calculations
• Quantity take-offs
• Construction drawings
• Construction specifications
• Construction observation and field engineering
• Coordination and collaboration with other design disciplines

Pay Range :

Pay Range $73,450.00 - $132,775.00
