As a Programmer you will be responsible for writing the programs used to control production equipment at a metal cutting and bending factory in Columbus, Ohio. In this role you will develop toolpaths for Salvagnini punches, lasers, and benders using CAD / CAM software. We are looking for an experienced Programmer to join us at a our client's manufacturing plant.

Essential Duties

• Develop programs for a variety of machines (punching, laser cutting, CNC bending) using SolidWorks.
• Follow the Group Code of Conduct and Group Compliance Manual.
• Program machines to cut and fold metal sheets into highly complex shapes.
• Modify existing programs to reduce cycle times and improve reliability.
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to develop efficient programs while maintaining design specifications.
• Simulate programs to validate tool paths and prevent machine crashes.
• Set up and quality test first-run parts to ensure validity of programs.
• Work with engineers and operators to troubleshoot and modify programs based on machine functions and part performance.
• Create tool lists, setup sheets, and other documentation required for operators to run a job.
• Develop and maintain a library of program files, tool databases, and machine configurations for documentation and retrieval.
• Adapt to improvements made to the factory and to machine capabilities.
• Assist other programmers and share best practices with the programming team.
• Work with architects to understand project requirements and provide project updates.
• Support ISO 9001, 14001, 18001, and 37301 certifications.
