Reliant Staffing Solutions / RSS Medical is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Owosso, Michigan.

\n- Works under the supervision of the unit Supervisor / Manager / Director.
\n- Delivers patient care using the nursing process : assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
\n- Directs and guides patient teaching and activities of ancillary personnel.
\n- Maintains professional nursing standards and Memorial Healthcare policies and procedures.
\n- Provides superior service that contributes to positive patient and family experiences.
\n- Assesses patients’ physical, psychological, social, and educational needs upon admission.
\n- Develops and initiates a written care plan within 24 hours of admission.
\n- Implements, evaluates, and updates care plans as needed or at least every 24 hours.
\n- Supports patients and families emotionally, psychologically, and spiritually.
\n- Promotes patient independence through education on conditions, medications, and self-care.
\n- Ensures quality care by adhering to hospital, state, and regulatory standards.
\n- Addresses patient problems and needs using multidisciplinary team strategies.
\n- Follows infection-control, medication administration, and controlled substance policies.
\n- Maintains continuity of care through accurate documentation and communication.
\n- Builds cooperative relationships with healthcare teams; participates in team problem-solving.
\n- Delegates, communicates with, and evaluates team members using leadership skills.
\n- Recognizes and responds to changes in patient status; documents interventions.
\n- Provides ongoing patient and family education tailored to daily assessments.
\n- Prioritizes care based on individual patient needs.
\n- Initiates referrals in collaboration with case management to support discharge planning.
\n- Participates in continuing education, inservice, and unit / hospital committees.
\n- Communicates unit issues via chain of command and engages in problem-solving.
\n- Demonstrates patient safety practices for a safe care environment and effective technology use.
\n- Understands and supports hospital mission, vision, values, confidentiality, and compliance.
\n- Provides age-appropriate care based on principles of growth and development.
\n- Performs other duties as assigned.
\n- Requirements :
\n- Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience (required)
\n- Experience floating to PCU (required)
\n- Proficient with telemetry and able to read / interpret heart rhythms (required)
\n- Must pass dysrhythmia test prior to floor work
\n- ACLS (AHA) and BLS (AHA) certifications (required)
\n- Michigan RN license, active (required)
\n- COVID vaccine required (exemptions allowed)
\n- Weekend work required every other weekend; no on-call duties
\n- Profile must include work history, recent skills checklist, and 2 supervisory references
