Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and design schematics
  • Calculate metal shapes and tolerances for precision fabrication
  • Design jigs and templates to support part production
  • Set up and operate drills, lathes, grinders, and milling machines
  • Cut, shape, and grind metal components to exact specifications
  • Assemble / disassemble tooling and dies to support production and minimize downtime
  • Inspect, repair, and test tools and dies for defects and functionality
  • Contribute to tooling efficiency and scrap reduction initiatives
  • Follow standard procedures for die maintenance and repairs
  • Record maintenance and repair data in SAP

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years' experience as a Tool and Die Maker
  • Preferred experience with progressive stamping (carbide lamination dies)
  • Skilled in operating metalworking equipment (drills, mills, grinders, lathes)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in die operations and assembly
  • Capable of lifting heavy materials and handling carbide tooling
  • Familiar with quality control processes and precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented with advanced problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work independently and collaborate with engineers and machinists
  • Solid understanding of metallurgy and metal properties
  • Proficient in complex math (geometry, trigonometry, algebra)
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word)
