Join a 13-week travel Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) assignment in Tarpon Springs, FL, with 8-hour day shifts in a skilled nursing facility. Tarpon Springs is known for its beautiful waterfront, historic sponge docks, and vibrant Greek culture, making it a delightful place to live and work.
As a PTA, you will assist physical therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures to patients. Your responsibilities include helping develop treatment plans, carrying out routine functions, documenting treatment progress, and modifying specific treatments based on patient status, all within the scope of plans established by a physical therapist. You will support the examination and treatment of patients, perform assessments such as measuring range of motion and strength, implement interventions like exercises and modalities, and educate patients and families about their condition and home exercise programs. Working as part of a healthcare team, you will ensure patient progress is monitored and communicated, maintain a clean and organized treatment area, and adhere to all laws and regulations governing physical therapy practice.
To qualify, you should have formal training and licensure as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings is recommended.
