Expected work schedule for the Norman Ministry Coordinator:
- Full- or part-time, flexible schedule
- Occasional evenings and/or weekends for specific ministry needs
- Annual conferences such as the IFI Staff Retreat
Pay structure for a Norman Ministry Coordinator:
- Requires the development of a ministry partner team to provide prayer and financial support to cover salary, benefits, and ministry expenses
- Training is provided to develop a team of ministry partners
- Pay range is typically between $27,274 and $84,872 after the period of support development, based on experience and other factors

About the area and Responsibilities of a Norman Ministry Coordinator:
Norman, OK is not only a college town, but it perfectly balances small-town charm with big-city perks. It has many great attractions including, the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, Lake Thunderbird State Park, and Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art. But, the big thing in town is the University of Oklahoma (OU). Not only does it have a world class college football program, it's also the home of about 2,000 international students. The bottom line is that OU is a great place to do international student ministry.
The Norman Ministry Coordinator will:
- Campus Ministry
- Coordinate/participate in cultural activities/trips
- Extend hospitality to international students, such as welcoming them to the area, providing transportation to activities, and familiarizing them with their new environment
- Participate in an outreach activity, such as a Bible discussion group, friendship partnership, or 1-on-1 discipleship
- Church Relations
- Establish new church relationships
- Activate church coordinators and facilitate their involvement
- Maintain data related to church partnerships and coordinators
- Volunteer Coordination
- Work with volunteers, including recruitment and matching to activities
- Attend and assist volunteers during outreach activities and big events
- Maintain data related to volunteers
Qualifications needed from the Norman Ministry Coordinator, including Spiritual Characteristics
- Adherence to IFI's statement of faith, core values, and policies
- Faithful in evangelism and hospitality to international students as well as discipling believers to do the same
- Well organized, takes initiative, able to work independently or collaboratively
- Flexible and adaptable
- Proficient with technology necessary to the ministry, including Microsoft Office and Google applications
Education/Experience Preferred for the Norman Ministry Coordinator:
- Minimum of a Bachelor Degree in education and/or ministry-related field or demonstrated experience mobilizing, training, and ministering to people
- Cross-cultural ministry experience, preferred
