Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning and execution of work orders for equipment modifications, preventative maintenance, and corrective maintenance.
- Coordinate maintenance resources and propose recommendations for capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with personnel to review equipment operation, identifying and resolving maintenance issues focused on Safety, Quality, Cost, Productivity, and Customer Satisfaction.
- Analyze performance metrics (KPIs) daily, weekly, and monthly to enhance plant operations and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
- Track, assess, and enhance the Maintenance department's KPIs to ensure continuous improvement.
- Engage team members in problem resolution to increase production efficiency, employing Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
- Cultivate a positive workplace environment, motivating the Maintenance team to achieve productivity targets and performance standards.
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements from government agencies at city, county, and state levels.
- Monitor and manage the Maintenance budget monthly, while preparing and implementing the annual budget.
- Participate in the recruitment process of Maintenance personnel to build a skilled team.
- Facilitate training for Maintenance employees, identifying gaps and establishing development plans as necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the team's objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or operations management.
- 5-7 years of experience in Industrial Automation, PLCs, Pneumatics and Hydraulics, or Injection Molding, preferably in the packaging industry.
- Experience managing operations, maintenance, engineering, and/or process improvement teams.
- Prior experience in a Lean environment is advantageous.
- Certification as a Six Sigma Green or Black Belt is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Strong analytical and innovative problem-solving skills.
- Able to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with SAP is preferred.
The salary for this position is $110,000-$125,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
