Position : CNC Mold Maker / Programmer / Operator
Location : Clackamas, OR
Pay : $35-$45 / hr DOE
Schedule : Flexible start (6am-9am), 8-10 hours / day depending on workload
Job Summary
Responsible for building high-quality tooling from complex mold and part designs. Must maintain a customer-focused attitude and demonstrate strong initiative to meet deadlines and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC machines (machining centers, high-speed milling, etc.).
- Build molds and dies (plastic injection, metal injection, die cast).
- Participate in design kick-off meetings and provide input.
- Plan, schedule, and track job progress to meet delivery goals.
- Perform inspections and ensure components meet specifications.
- Create detailed drawings, notes, and instructions for team coordination.
- Identify and implement process improvements for future efficiency.
- Apply geometry, trigonometry, and shop math accurately.
- Maintain clean, organized machines and work areas.
- Work overtime as required to meet deadlines.
Requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills.Proficient in Mastercam (2D & 3D programming).Skilled in electrode design, graphite machining, and EDM processes.Knowledge of high-speed machining (aluminum, pre-hardened, and hardened steel).Problem-solving, troubleshooting, and attention to detail.Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.Team-oriented with a commitment to quality and efficiency.Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.3-5 years of experience building / programming injection molds preferred.Able to hold close tolerances and lift up to 50 lbs.Capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
