Entry Level Interior Designer needed for a Construction Company located in Irvine, CA.
Temporary to hire position paying $25 / hr, plus 4% commission on net sale . Hours are Monday - Friday, 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM . Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision.
Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in drafting design concepts for wine cellars, including space planning, layout, racking systems, lighting, door types, materials & finishes.
- Create interior renderings, and basic sketches and send to CAD team.
- Support senior designers with technical details : dimensions, material selections, lighting fixtures, refrigeration system integration.
- Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure designs are buildable and meet company quality standards.
- Research new materials, finishes, hardware, joinery, and wine-cellar-appropriate lighting and cooling components.
- Visit job sites as needed (within Orange County or nearby) for measurements, site assessments, and to ensure design accuracy.
- Assist in preparing client presentations, proposals, quotations, and revisions.
- Maintain a design library of finishes, samples, door styles, racking styles.
- Ensure all designs adhere to code requirements, client budget, and timelines.
- Learn about wine cellar refrigeration, lighting, and custom racking systems.
