This position is physically located in Houston. We have an immediate opening for a Human Resource Generalist.
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing the Firm’s processes and systems related to Human Resources and Law Firm Culture. A Human Resource Generalist plays a crucial role in organizations by handling various HR functions.
This role will focus on recruiting top-tier talent, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and will often serve as a bridge between management and employees. They ensure compliance with labor laws, develop HR policies, handle grievances, and support organizational development.
Reporting Relationship :
The Human Resource Generalist works under the supervision of the Law Firm Administrator. In the absence of an LFA, the Human Resource Generalist reports directly to the Managing Attorney.
Authority :
The Human Resource Generalist is expected to and has the authority to monitor the Firm’s established policies and procedures, all laws and regulations, and the arrangements related to Human Resources compliance.
This job is full-time and in-person at the Houston office.

Compensation : $60,000 - $70,000
Responsibilities :
- Led the recruitment process to attract and hire grade-A employees aligned with company values and culture. Utilize effective sourcing strategies and conduct thorough vetting processes. Assist in sourcing, interviewing, and hiring candidates. Conduct new hire orientation and ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Develop and implement frameworks to promote accountability across all levels of the organization. Monitor and enforce adherence to company policies and standards.
- Address employee concerns, mediate conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.
- Facilitate performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional and career development planning—guide managers on performance improvement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and industry regulations.
- Actively contribute to the development and maintenance of a positive and inclusive organizational culture.
- Organize employee engagement activities and initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HR laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures as necessary.
- Provide guidance and training to employees and managers on HR-related matters.
- Maintain employee files, HR databases, and documentation.
- Prepare reports on HR metrics, such as turnover rates and employee satisfaction.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
- Assist in payroll processing and maintain accurate employee records.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in a similar HR role with a focus on recruiting and talent management.Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.About Company
