Essential Job Duties

- Perform radiography and portable exams proficiently and safely. Must possess basic knowledge of anatomy, skeleton, gastrointestinal, pulmonary and other systems and have knowledge of sterile techniques as it relates and applies to radiographic studies.
- Apply principles of radiation safety in all areas of use applying the ALAR concept; minimizing repeats, using safety devices, etc.
- Completes data entry in both PACS / RIS including histories, fluoro time documentation, contrast documentation, patient dose history and thoroughly reviews orders and consents as applicable.
- Perform fluoroscopy procedures proficiently and is competent in setting up sterile trays and assisting physician with fluoro exams.
- Perform radiography proficiently in all areas including C-arm operations in surgery.
- Participate in clinical oversight of student trainees.
Required Education and Experience
Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Required License / Certifications
Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 90 days
Must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days
