Controller

Description We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our team in Owasso, Oklahoma. This is a Contract to permanent position within the aerospace industry, offering an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial operations and strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounting, leadership, and a proactive approach to managing financial processes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities :

• Lead daily accounting functions, including managing the general ledger, preparing financial statements, and overseeing month-end closing processes.
• Provide critical support for acquisition activities, such as financial integration, due diligence, and reconciliation.
• Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and perform variance analyses to ensure financial goals are achieved.
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory standards and internal financial controls.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to deliver actionable financial insights and strategic recommendations.
• Prepare for audits and fulfill external reporting requirements with accuracy and timeliness.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to enhance workflow efficiency and team performance.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for operational improvements.
• Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to align financial practices with organizational goals. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory roles.
• Solid understanding of corporate accounting principles and compliance standards.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace industries is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to support acquisitions or major financial transitions effectively.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work fully on-site and thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Proficiency in document control and management systems, including scanning and compiling documents.
