Supply Technician
The primary purpose of the Supply Technician, GS-2005-7, is to respond to customer logistics concerns and proactively anticipates problems that could stand in the way of wing units fulfilling mission requirements. Responsible for interfacing with Global Logistics Support Center (GLSC); conducts document control functions, demand processing, research and base level records maintenance, base level stock control functions, bench stock management, and customer feedback; troubleshoots all materiel management concerns; manages and issues SATS smart cards and manages the Zero Overpricing Program. Responsible for coordinating Base-Level Supply Customer Training as it pertains to Block training. Training is provided by the resident experts within the specific elements. May make additional selections within 90 days of eligible(s) issuance.
California National Guard membership is required : This is an excepted service position that requires membership in the California National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment. Compatible Military Assignment and Grade are required. Military technicians must be assigned to a military position in the same unit which they are employed or, in a unit that is supported by the employing activity. Military technicians must hold the military grade specified for the position.

Must maintain appropriate level of security clearance. Must wear appropriate military uniform including required grooming standards. Must maintain a compatible military unit, grade and job assignment as required by current directives. Participation in direct deposit is mandatory. Security Clearance : at a minimum a National Agency Check is required.
General Experience : Possess experience, education, or training in a variety of operations or situations concerned with substance or content of supply actions, requiring ability to decide course of action to take, considering the circumstances or conditions encountered; Experience using computer and automation systems.
SUPPLY TECHNICIAN, GS-2005-7 : Must have at least one year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the GS-05 level, or equivalent pay band in other pay systems in the Federal government. This experience should demonstrate a thorough knowledge of governing supply regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions applicable to the specific assignment; Experience conducting extensive searches for required information; reconstructing records for complex supply transactions; and / or provide supply operations support for activities involving specialized or unique supplies, equipment, or parts; Experience performing routine aspects of supply work based on practical knowledge of standard procedures, where assignments include individual case problems related to a limited segment in one of the major areas of supply management.
