Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in San Antonio, TX on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide expert care to critically ill patients with complex and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate has strong ICU experience, demonstrates sound critical thinking under pressure, and is committed to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and manage vital signs, ventilators, infusion pumps, and other life-support equipment.
• Administer prescribed medications, fluids, and treatments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations such as code responses.
• Educate patients' families on treatment plans, recovery expectations, and available resources.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
• Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and evidence-based ICU care standards.
