Our global biopharmaceutical client is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Inventory Controller to support laboratory shipping, receiving, inventory, and facility operations in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform physical and administrative tasks related to the shipping, receiving, storage, and distribution of materials, parts, supplies, specimens, and equipment.
- Receive deliveries from courier and freight services; document receipts in appropriate systems and logs.
- Unpack, inspect, and reconcile incoming shipments against packing lists.
- Prepare, package, and ship materials to internal and external locations while maintaining accurate shipping records.
- Troubleshoot, communicate, and assist in resolving inbound and outbound shipment delays.
- Organize and maintain materials, supplies, and specimens in designated storage areas.
- Inspect inventory levels and distribute materials as needed while ensuring inventory security, accountability, and control.
- Adhere to all Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies, including proper use of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Safely handle biohazardous waste in compliance with SOPs and regulatory requirements.
- Support facility maintenance activities, including laboratory spaces, grounds, and parking areas, per company standards and SOPs.
- Utilize facility-related computer systems for maintenance, security, and documentation.
- Complete assigned facility maintenance and minor repair tasks.
- Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), company policies, and confidentiality requirements.
- Promote and support EHS and safety initiatives at all times.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional squatting.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of daily responsibilities.Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.Regular use of PPE, including lab coats, gloves, face shields, and safety goggles as required.Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and bloodborne pathogens.Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.Basic computer skills.Ability to understand, remember, and follow written and verbal instructions.Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in material handling, facilities, or maintenance roles.Familiarity with SAP or similar inventory systems.Forklift certification is not required for this role.#LI-DR2
