Openwork is partnering with a youth-focused organization to bring Academic Coaches into a program designed to support students in foster care. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping young people succeed academically, build confidence, and develop long-term success skills. About the Role
Academic Coaches work with adolescents and young adults ages 14–25 who are currently in or transitioning out of foster care. You will provide academic tutoring, study support, and mentorship while helping students strengthen organization, time management, and goal-setting skills—all while preparing for future success, including college and post-secondary pathways. Coaching sessions may occur virtually, in person, or through a hybrid format, based on student needs. Training is provided prior to placement.
This role requires travel throughout Houston, Harris County, and surrounding counties. Reliable transportation is required.
