As an Eyewear Specialist, you play a vital role in our business by delivering exceptional experiences to our patients. You will be responsible for providing personalized service, ensuring patients find the perfect eyewear and accessories to meet their needs and lifestyle. Your technical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills will enhance patient satisfaction and encourage repeat visits.
- Provide each patient with a remarkable experience, explaining customized product recommendations clearly.
- Build and develop your own clientele through outstanding service and referrals.
- Stay updated on company and industry products, procedures, and available frame and lens options.
- Manage patient communications, updating them on order statuses and resolving any issues as they arise, escalating to the Store Manager when necessary.
- Retrieve patient records and assist them in selecting suitable frames and lenses based on their unique measurements and requirements.
- Educate patients on the care of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Collect accurate eye and facial measurements for optimal eyewear fit.
- Interpret prescriptions from optometrists and ophthalmologists to ensure accurate dispensation of eyewear.
- Create detailed work orders for lab technicians, specifying necessary lens information.
- Follow up on all pending orders, ensuring timely delivery and communicating any delays to patients.
- Dispense eyewear by inspecting products, adjusting them for proper fit, and gathering patient feedback.
- Make adjustments to eyewear to enhance visual acuity and comfort, utilizing specialized tools.
- Regularly communicate with technicians and store managers to discuss patient needs and order statuses.
- Inspect final products for quality assurance and perform lens cleaning and polishing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the store by keeping displays, work areas, and break rooms tidy.
- Restock merchandise on retail boards as needed.
- Provide thorough answers to patients' inquiries regarding insurance, warranties, products, services, and pricing.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, including technicians and optometrists.
- Sell additional products such as lens cleaners, sunglasses, and other eyewear accessories.
- Perform any other relevant tasks as assigned by the manager.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma.Preferred minimum of one year of experience as an Optician.Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is a plus.Strong organizational capabilities and keen attention to detail.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Experience in customer service and sales is preferred.Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination are essential.Dependable and punctual.Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs, and to bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods.Physical Demands :
