Temporary Apprentice Power Lineman
Join our team at East River Electric Power Cooperative! We are seeking a temporary Apprentice Power Lineman to join our transmission line construction team. In this role you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience working directly with experienced team members on various transmission line installation and maintenance projects. This position involves extensive out-of-town travel and is eligible to work up to 1000 hours.
What You'll Accomplish
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of transmission lines at heights up to 100 feet.
- Operate and maintain a variety of tools used in power line construction and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with experienced linemen to learn techniques and best practices for power line work.
- Travel with the transmission construction crew to various work site locations in eastern SD and western MN.
- Participate in safety meetings and comply with all safety procedures.
