We are seeking a devoted and experienced Early Childhood Teacher to join our vibrant community at Long Island Hebrew Academy. As a Yeshiva day school, we pride ourselves in providing a nurturing environment where students can grow and develop their love for Judaism and education.

Job Summary:

As an Early Childhood Teacher at Long Island Hebrew Academy, you will be responsible for designing and implementing engaging lesson plans. You will create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters a love for learning, Judaism, and each other. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Planning and teaching engaging and interactive lessons to students

• Developing and implementing curriculum that aligns with our school's values and standards

• Maintaining a safe and organized classroom environment

• Building positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

• Collaborating with colleagues to share best practices and enhance the learning experience

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons

• Integrate Limudei Kodesh and General Studies in meaningful ways

• Teach Parsha, Tefillah, Hebrew readiness, and Chagim in engaging formats

• Develop early literacy (letters, phonemic awareness, pre-reading skills)

• Introduce early math concepts (counting, patterns, number sense)

• Use hands-on, play-based learning centers

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field

• Passion for working with young children and their families

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
