The math developer serves as an instructional leader who supports schools in improving elementary mathematics teaching and learning. This role focuses on strengthening instructional practices, promoting data-informed decision-making, and ensuring alignment across schools through regular collaboration and communication. The developer partners with educators and administrators to drive student achievement in mathematics through professional development, curriculum support, district-developed supplemental resources, and strategic planning. The position also supports teachers in effectively integrating technology to enhance classroom instruction as well as assisting with all LCS on-line endorsement courses through Canvas integration.

Interviews will not take place until January 2026. This is a grant funded position and is only guaranteed through the end of this school year.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- support teachers in troubleshooting issues related to educational technology in the classroom and find helpful ways to integrate platforms such as Canvas and various AI tools to support classroom instruction, improve student engagement, and streamline assessment and feedback
- support implementation of LCS on-line endorsement through Canvas
- support schools in using student performance data to make informed instructional decisions that target areas of need and promote student growth
- plan and facilitate (with teammate) monthly math meetings with school-based instructional staff to ensure consistent messaging on curriculum implementation, legislative updates, and research-based best practices
- provide job-embedded professional learning including modeling lessons, coaching, and facilitating collaborative planning sessions
- collaborate with teachers and instructional leaders to design and implement differentiated instruction aligned to state standards and district goals
- assist with curriculum alignment and instructional pacing to ensure consistency and rigor across grade levels and schools
- monitor the effectiveness of mathematics programs and instructional strategies using data analysis and feedback loops
- stay current on new educational legislation regarding SMD students, research, and instructional resources, and communicate relevant updates to school teams
- serve as liaison between district leadership and school-based teams to ensure coherent and equitable mathematics instruction
