Senior Solutions Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is currently searching for a Senior Solutions Analyst within the Revenue team for one of our major oil and gas clients in Houston, TX. This position involves developing and supporting proprietary and third-party software applications, coordinating strategic planning to align with corporate objectives, and acting as a liaison between business users, developers, and IT teams. Responsibilities include organizing projects, creating specifications, testing and deploying applications, managing application releases, and utilizing SQL queries for analytics, issue resolution, and reporting. The analyst will also provide customer support, track and escalate production issues, maintain administrator documentation, and facilitate collaboration between stakeholders through training and workshops. This position is five days onsite in Downtown Houston, TX, with a pay range of $65-$75 / hr.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems preferred

5 plus years' experience in Information Systems, Accounting, Supply Chain, and / or Financial Reporting

Travel to our division offices is required.

Oil & Gas Revenue Accounting Experience in IS or Accounting Required. Revenue experience is required.

Excellent team leadership / project management skills

Strong analytical abilities

Ability to Gather and document business requirements, develop system specification documents, and design workflow charts and process maps

Experience with QC / QA software testing procedures

Experience with UI / UX design software such as Figma

Working knowledge of SQL queries and reporting tools such as TOAD, Crystal Reports / Business Objects, SQL, and Spotfire

Working knowledge of Microsoft products : Word / Excel / Access / Visio / Project

Working knowledge of relational databases-Oracle, SQL Server, iSeries DB2 Experience with Python, Elasticsearch or SingleStore a plus
