Early Career Pathways : We offer two pathways for full-time employment (please indicate your preference in your application) :

Direct Hire : Multiple positions available across our Business Units. You will be matched with an appropriate engineering team based on your skillset and experience and our current business needs.

New Graduate Rotation Program : This one-year development program enables you to expand your engineering skillset through variety of hands-on experience and mentorship. Throughout your three four-month rotations, you'll explore a variety of fields supporting our business units : New Shepard, New Glenn, Blue Engines, Lunar Permanence, In-Space Systems, Advanced Concepts and Enterprise Engineering, and Operations. Upon completing this uniquely personalized program, you'll collaborate with the Program Manager to determine the best team fit for your ongoing career.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Your projects may include many aspects of applied mechanical / structural engineering including design, analysis and test of mechanical systems, propulsion systems, and structures. The projects will include the integration of materials and processes, manufacturing, test, operations, and systems engineering.

Participate in the entire design cycle, including requirements derivation, conceptual and detailed design, system performance modeling, structural analysis, manufacturing and integration support, development testing and qualification.

Participate in the assembly and test of development and flight hardware including planning, execution, data reduction and analysis.

Assist in the identification and implementation of design changes to improve system reliability and reduce operational cost.

Specific duties are subject to our business unit objectives .

Qualifications :

Minimum of a BS Degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering field .

Will have earned their degree within the last year and able to start by Fall 202 6 .

Basic understanding in the fundamentals of design (requirements identification, material selection , input definition, form factors, interface definition, environmental considerations, etc.)

Basic proficiency in 3D CAD programs (Creo Pro / E preferred) including drawing creation.

Basic proficiency in strength and mechanics of materials .

Basic proficiency in structural analysis including Free-body diagrams, hand calculations, etc.

Basic understanding of Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred).

Relevant internship / co-op and / or hands-on experience that demonstrate development of both technical skills as well as leadership qualities .

Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and strengthen our culture of inclusion .

Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs .

Flexible and adaptable mindset .

Self-driven with the ability to seek out requirements with minimal direction .

Desired :

MS degree in mechanical engineering or aerospace engineering, or other relevant engineering field .

Experience with flight control actuators, deployable devices (doors, landing gear, sensors, etc.), hydraulic system components, separation systems, or other mechanical systems.

Working knowledge of common aerospace materials, surface treatments, and fasteners.

Experience with GD&T (ASME Y14.5).

Hands-on experience with machining, building, and maintaining pressurized or mechanical systems.

Mechanical component testing experience.

Test instrumentation and data acquisition experience.

Basic understanding of the fundamentals of fatigue and damage tolerance.

How to prepare :

We are solving challenging, new problems and we need people to represent a wide variety of perspectives. Experience in aerospace is not a requirement. We value broad academic and industry experiences such as Tech, Oil & Gas, Nuclear, Automotive, and more.

Compensation Range for :

CA applicants is $78,943.00-$110,519.85;CO applicants is $72,364.00-$101,309.25;WA applicants is $78,943.00-$110,519.85
