[job_card.job_description]Patient Demographics : Adults 98%, Pediatrics 2% Patient Volume : 3 10 patients / day Admissions : Average 5 while on call Rounding : Included Phone Consults : Yes Case Mix : Cardiology, consults, TEEs, Cardioversions, Stress Tests Trauma Level : II EMR : Epic & Cerner Powerchart Specialty Backup : CT Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, EP, Trauma / ACS, Ortho, Neurosurgery Support Staff : APP coverage typically 8a-12p, PA-C assistance in AM Hospital Privileges Required : Yes (Full and Temporary Privileges available) Temporary Privileges Available : Yes Credentialing Timeline : 90 days Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance : Covered (Airfare, lodging, parking, mileage, rental car, ground transportation) Lodging Cap : $175 / night at non-preferred hotels (no incidentals permitted) Airfare : Economy seating, no upgrades, 1 checked bag Rental Car : Mid-size car (AprNov, $75 / day cap) | Mid-size 4WD SUV (DecMar, $100 / day cap) REQUIRED PROCEDURES Transesophageal Echocardiograms (TEEs) Cardioversions Active PA License or IMLC BC in Cardiology DEA ACLS, BLS Experience : Minimum 1 year in specialty Proficiency with Epic and Cerner Provide IP & OP cardiology care Cover weekday clinic, weeknight call, and / or 24-hr weekend call Conduct IP rounding, consults, TEEs, cardioversions, and image readings Proctor stress tests occasionally Collaborate with APPs and PA-Cs for patient management Respond to calls, with most handled via phone triage; rare in-person stat TEE for dissection
