Essential Responsibilities :
Drives to wherever needed to fill in at any and all of our branches and department locations throughout the Hampton Roads area including Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk and Chesapeake.Agrees to work when called upon. Holidays are a popular time to be available. Must also be available to fill in for vacations, medical leaves, and other absences. A lot of times absences are unplanned so the on-call receptionist must be prepared to work spur of the moment.Displays a professional appearance and behaviorWelcomes members to TowneBank, determines the nature of their business and directs them to the appropriate person or departmentOperates the department's or branch's main telephone switchboard and assists callers by transferring them to the appropriate party or taking messages from the callerBecomes familiar with TowneBank's locations, hours, telephone numbers and individuals so that routine questions can be answered with easeTypes memos, correspondence, reports and other documents as neededAssists the branch or department team with a variety of day-to-day duties as requestedAssists with copy projectsOther duties as assignedObeys all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)Minimum Physical Requirements :
Must be able to travel to locations throughout the territory listed above.Sitting 60% of the timeWalking to the teller line and to other co-workers several times daily to deliver mail and customers' transactionsEscorting customers to other branch personnelAssisting elderly and handicapped customers when entering and leaving the buildingOperating the copy machine several times a dayWalking to check the FAX machine hourly; operating the FAX machine; adding paper and performing necessary maintenance to the machineMaintaining and organizing supplies requiring lifting (up to 10 pounds), reaching, bending and stoopingPreparing and monitoring coffee and refreshments for customersEnvironmental Conditions :
