Description
Senior Finance executive / leader for the Energy Systems business segment with total global revenue of approximately $300 million. The CFO is a critical member of the Energy Systems senior leadership team and business partner cross functionally. They are responsible for all financial functions for Energy Systems and associated global commercial units, product management, and engineering. Responsibilities include financial analysis, reporting, M&A analysis / due diligence and working capital management. In addition, they will partner with internal audit, accounting, and operational finance to ensure proper internal controls and adherence to company policies, control and tracking of expenditures. They will own the annual budget, monthly forecasting, the long-range planning, pricing, product, customer and operational performance, and working capital analysis. The CFO will provide proactive advice and recommendations to senior business leaders to drive performance and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides proactive business partnering support and recommendations to senior business leaders and cross functional teams for the segment based on data and analysis, as well as gathering input from other functions
- Manages the commercial financial analysis and reporting of the segment with joint ownership of accounting and operational functions
- Communicates business results, growth initiatives, etc. to all levels of management within the segment, the company and to the board of directors. Develops and participates in executive management presentations
- Participates and drives key decisions as a member of the executive management team
- Coordinates and drives the annual budget, monthly forecasting, the long-range strategic plan, pricing, product costing analysis, and working capital analysis for the segment. Performs financial analysis, including project spending analysis, margin analysis by market / customer / product, capital spending analysis & other ad hoc analysis
- Manages the Energy Segment capital requests and balance sheet structure partnering with the Corporate Controller and acquired entities
- Monitors and directs the implementation of strategic business plans
- Assists in formulating the Segments’ future direction and supporting tactical initiatives
- Owner of M&A activity for the segment including financial / business analysis, valuation, negotiation, closing and integrating of targeted businesses
- Coordinates acquisition integration activities within the segment, 3rd party providers and with corporate requirements ensuring cross functional synergies are identified and achieved
- Maintains in-depth relations with all members of the management team
- Develops performance measures that support the company's strategic direction
- Manages internal controls, in conjunction with internal audit and other business segment management.
- Works with Corporate controller to ensure reliable control processes and systems to stay in compliance with public company requirements including, SEC reporting and Sarbanes-Oxley
- Ensures that record keeping meets the requirements of auditors and government agencies
- Reports risk issues to the VP Finance & IR, Franklin Electric CFO and Corporate Controller
- Actively seeks continuous improvement opportunities in people, processes and systems including understanding the Company’s 80 / 20 initiative
- Performs other related duties as required or assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (required).Ten to fifteen years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).Master of Business Administration degree (strongly preferred).Seven years of leadership and management experience (required).Computer Skills
Advanced : ERP and Accounting software (JD Edwards preferred), alphanumeric data entry, spreadsheet, word processing / typing.Intermediate : Presentation / PowerPoint, Microsoft Business Intelligence.Certificates and Licenses
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) (preferred)
