Day Driver (CDL-B)

Basic Job Functions :

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The CDL Class B Driver role is a daily route position, responsible for operating commercial motor vehicle in compliance with FMCSA regulations to transport goods on public highways and company property. They are also responsible for moving, stacking, and unloading all forms of C.H.I. doors and products at their destinations, including C.H.I. service centers and dealer locations. This is a physically demanding position which will involve lifting 80+ pounds in a unique trailer environment. This could include using forklifts, jacks, carts, racks, pallets, moving boxes, packages, or other support components.   All runs originate and terminate in Derry, NH.

Eligible candidates will :

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Possess a valid CDL-B license
• Possess a valid DOT Medical Card or be eligible to receive one prior to hire
• Be willing & able to travel to Arthur, Illinois for 1 week of training

Compensation

$22.60 / hour + Weekly Production Bonus Example : Hourly Base Rate = 22.60 Weekly Production Bonus = 40%. Total Hourly Rate = $31.64

Production Bonus

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.
