Medical Billing & Authorization Coordinator Compensation

The pay for this position is

$19.00–$20.50 per hour

, depending on qualifications

Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Medical Billing & Authorization Coordinator Highlights

This position is

hybrid

(work-from-home Tuesday and Thursday; in-office Monday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 : 00 AM – 4 : 30 PM)

This is a

contract-to-hire

position based on attendance, performance, and business needs

Medical Billing & Authorization Coordinator Responsibilities

Receive intake documents and enter data into the POC platform

Learn and understand ICD-10 codes and service description codes

Differentiate between payor sources

Navigate and excel within the POC platform

Create patient admission profiles and update them with new service authorizations

Support BrightSpring Health’s Compliance Program by adhering to HIPAA, FCRA, and other relevant laws

Maintain confidentiality and complete required compliance training

Medical Billing & Authorization Coordinator Requirements

High School Diploma or GED required

1+ year of experience in data entry, healthcare billing / enrollment, or medical coding

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for processing admissions and authorizations

Proficiency with Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Office

Excellent communication and time management skills

High attention to detail and strong attendance record
