Work Setting : Hybrid (2 days onsite / 3 days remote)
Compensation : $70,000 – $90,000 base salary

Position Summary
The Data Analyst will support analytics and reporting initiatives across a large-scale rail repair and operations business. This role partners closely with business stakeholders and IT to gather requirements, analyze operational data, and deliver actionable insights through dashboards and reports.
The analytics function is still evolving, offering a unique opportunity to help shape reporting standards, data models, and analytics strategy during a period of growth and ERP transformation. This role blends technical data analysis with strong business-facing communication and is ideal for someone who wants ownership, visibility, and the chance to build—rather than inherit—a mature analytics environment.
What You’ll Do
- Analyze operational and supply chain data related to procurement, inventory, logistics, scheduling, and demand planning
- Design, build, and maintain dashboards and automated reports using Power BI
- Write, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction and modeling
- Support data integration, transformation, and validation efforts using SQL and Python
- Partner with business teams to gather requirements and translate needs into analytical solutions
- Collaborate with IT on data architecture, pipelines, and future-state analytics platforms
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support data quality and governance efforts
- Identify process inefficiencies and deliver data-driven recommendations to improve performance and reduce cost
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including leadership
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field2+ years of professional experience in data analytics, reporting, or a similar roleInternship or applied master’s program experience will be consideredStrong SQL skills beyond basic queries (joins, CTEs, window functions)Hands-on experience building dashboards and reports using Power BIStrong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skillsAbility to work cross-functionally and gather requirements from business stakeholdersEligibility to work without sponsorshipPreferred Qualifications
