About the Role

James Sheahan Catholic High School Orange is seeking a passionate Learning Support Officer to join the team. As a Learning Support Officer you will be responsible for supporting classroom teachers by delivering targeted high-quality assistance in reading writing and mathematics. Your focus will be working 1 : 1 or in small groups with students who need extra support helping to build their confidence skills and independence.

Key responsibilities :

• Promote and embody the Vision and Mission of Catholic education in the Diocese.
• Support students spiritual growth and foster a respectful inclusive school culture.
• Assist students develop their literacy numeracy social and integration skills.
• Develop programs for use in the learning support centre.
• Performing clerical duties as required in the Inclusive Education area.
• Work with students on a 1 : 1 or group basis to meet the individual needs of the student.
• Work with teachers in order to meet the specific needs of individual students.
