As a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) , you will be essential in changing the lives of students in Grades K-12 by delivering tailored clinical and educational interventions. You will lead your team through hands-on training and professional development while ensuring the highest standards of quality assurance and compliance within our programs.
Key Responsibilities Include :
- Providing comprehensive training and guidance to teachers in designing impactful Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs).
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of academic instruction and behavioral support services to ensure exceptional student outcomes.
- Collaborating with staff to enhance instructional best practices, aligned with Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals.
- Identifying professional development needs of the educational team and delivering targeted training programs.
- Engaging in continuous staff development through educational conferences and specialized training to improve professional competencies.
- Training and certifying school staff in crisis prevention and management strategies to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Assisting in recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new staff to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles.
- Researching and recommending effective curricula and teaching methodologies that meet our educational objectives.
- Developing and supervising systems tailored to support the unique academic and behavioral needs of students.
- Participating in team meetings and interdisciplinary collaborations to foster effective communication and teamwork.
- Conducting ongoing quality assurance assessments and providing actionable feedback for continuous improvement.
- Ensuring adherence to Department of Education guidelines and Spectrum's standards for educational excellence.
- Completing additional duties or special projects as assigned to support organizational goals.
Qualifications Required :
Master's degree or higher in applied behavior analysis, behavioral health, special education, or a related field.Currently licensed or in the process of obtaining BCBA certification.Preferred : CA state special education instruction credential.Ability to obtain certification in company-approved crisis management training.Experience providing behavioral support, preferably in alternative or special education settings.Strong proficiency in applied behavior analysis (ABA) practices, including PBIS, FBA, and BIP.Experience working with students with learning disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.Proven success in developing effective intervention plans for diverse student needs.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.Knowledge of relevant technology and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is part of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education , the leading provider of alternative and special education programs nationwide.
