Key Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of procurement and related duties in the review, sourcing, negotiations, and receipt of goods.
• Research, select and approve appropriate suppliers for product-related purchases. Continually strive to find suppliers that will provide high-quality, cost-effective products and services that are delivered on time. Develop alternative suppliers for key products based on risk assessment.
• Consistently review MRP and non-MRP supply purchasing requirements and place orders consistent with company goals. Validate and adjust purchasing plan based on planning and forecasting inputs. Identify and resolve any purchasing gaps to ensure best possible purchased supply. Set MRP parameters where appropriate.
• Follow up with suppliers to assure on-time delivery and communicate delivery dates with other Exactech personnel.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure purchased items stay within inventory targets. Evaluate suppliers monthly on delivery performance and with QA provide supporting data for supplier performance rating and forecasts where appropriate.
• Develop mutually beneficial supplier partnerships, which may include site visits, weekly performance meetings and hosting supplier visits.
• Understand and follow all SOPs for the purchasing area.
• Know and apply the Quality System and any appropriate Federal and International Standards.
• Assist and Support other employees, teams, and sales personnel as necessary.

Education:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution required.

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient with MRP systems and setting appropriate parameters.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
