Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Enforcement of property rules and regulations
• Clear communication of verbal directions and written reports
• Observing and reporting incidents and hazards
• Responding to emergencies
• Monitoring camera systems, fire alarm systems, and security systems
• Performing routine equipment checks
• Conducting opening and closing procedures
• Aiding and allowing access to authorized personnel
• Detecting unauthorized personnel
• Assisting with escorts of personnel, contractors, and vendors
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Adapting to the needs of the building to provide a safe atmosphere
• Greeting all guests entering the building and patrolling corridors
• Work with local authorities and city entities to aid, direct, and provide information during an emergency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 1 year of experience in security, military, safety, or customer service
• Experience with in-house or contracted security companies or guest services
• Combination of prior military or law enforcement, OPATA, Federal Emergency Management or National Incident Management training/experience
• AED/CPR/First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Superior customer service, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Excellent organizational skills

Expected Hours of Work & Travel

• Days and work hours are generally Monday through Friday but may require evening and/or weekend shifts.
• Travel may be required with personal vehicle and reimbursed as necessary.
• Shifts may change depending on the needs of the business. This may include nights, weekends or holidays based on business needs.
