Tactical Radio Embedded Software Engineer
Location : Colorado Springs, CO or Fort Wayne, IN

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C / C++
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components
- Debug, test, and optimize embedded systems for performance and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development
- Document software designs, code, and testing procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and established processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field2+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree)Proficiency in C and / or C++ programmingU.S. citizenship (required)Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearancePreferred Qualifications
Experience with low-level driver developmentFamiliarity with unit test frameworksKnowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2CExperience with Agile development practicesAdditional Skills (a plus but not required)
Background in digital signal processing (DSP)Knowledge of Rust, Python, or MATLABAdvanced Linux experience (drivers, networking, system services)Multi-threaded or multi-core programmingNetwork protocols and socket programmingCryptographic techniques and secure bootExperience with CI / CD pipelines and automated testingWorkplace Details
