[job_card.job_description]Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field 2+ years of relevant experience (or Master's degree) Proficiency in C and / or C++ programming U.S. citizenship (required) Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance Experience with low-level driver development Familiarity with unit test frameworks Knowledge of communication protocols such as UART, SPI, and I2C Experience with Agile development practices Background in digital signal processing (DSP) Knowledge of Rust, Python, or MATLAB Advanced Linux experience (drivers, networking, system services) Multi-threaded or multi-core programming Network protocols and socket programming Cryptographic techniques and secure boot Experience with CI / CD pipelines and automated testing Position may be on-site in Colorado Springs, CO or Fort Wayne, IN U.S. Citizenship is required due to government contract requirements No third-party applicants will be considered Exciting, research-driven projects with real-world impact Opportunities for ongoing learning and career development CPI offers competitive perks and incentives tailored to each contract position
Tactical Radio Embedded Software Engineer
Location : Colorado Springs, CO or Fort Wayne, IN
Employment Type : Full-Time, Contract

As a Tactical Radio Embedded Software Engineer, you'll work in a collaborative environment designing and building resilient software solutions that enable secure communications in challenging, contested environments. Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software applications using C / C++
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to integrate software and hardware components
- Debug, test, and optimize embedded systems for performance and reliability
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development
- Document software designs, code, and testing procedures
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and established processes
