About the team

The Data Intelligence & Analytics team at Cloudflare is responsible for building a unified data & ML platform that enables our internal Business Partners and Product teams with actionable analytics insights and recommendations. Our goal is to democratize data & intelligence support Cloudflares critical business needs and provide self-service data & AI applications to fuel existing and new business critical initiatives.

About the role

We are looking for a Data Scientist Intern to join our Austin team to help us extract insights from our large datasets and drive business decisions. As an intern youll work alongside experienced data scientists and machine learning engineers to tackle real-world challenges in natural language processing (NLP) and AI development.

What youll do

• Develop and deploy predictive models to drive business outcomes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data-driven solutions
• Work with large datasets to extract insights and inform business decisions
• Work on data preprocessing / parsing strategies to make it LLM ready
• Rapidly test new frameworks such as AI agents RAG NL2SQL etc in the Generative AI domain
• Support the evaluation and benchmarking of LLM performance across various tasks and metrics
• Continuously involved in knowledge sharing and mentorship
