Senior Database / SQL Developer

Overview

Senior Database / SQL Developer responsible for maintenance, support, enhancement, and development of new database solutions. The role requires deep expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, database architecture, performance tuning, T-SQL development, and cloud-based data solutions, preferably within Microsoft Azure. Primary tasks include working with multiple SSIS packages, stored procedures, Azure Data Factory pipelines, and SSRS reports.

Location : Miami, FL

Duration : 3+ months contract to hire

Compensation : $55.00 - 65.00 / hr

Work Requirements : US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, development, and maintenance of complex SQL databases, stored procedures, SSIS packages, and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Analyze existing database structures and recommend improvements for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with software developers and business analysts to implement robust data solutions.
• Optimize and troubleshoot queries, indexing strategies, and database bottlenecks.
• Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance with internal and external standards.
• Reverse engineer existing code to understand and develop requirements.
• Collaborate with software developers and system architects to optimize database usage and support application development.
