Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Architect - Cloud Data Modernization position for our client.

Location : Bakersfield, CA

Duration : 12 months

Overview :

Lead cloud data modernization initiatives, ensuring enterprise data is secure, compliant, and aligned with business objectives. Drive data governance, classification, and privacy compliance across systems.

Key Responsibilities :

Design and implement cloud-based data solutions and enterprise data architecture.

Manage sensitive data inventories (PII, PHI, financial data) and ensure compliance with privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA).

Collaborate with stakeholders to identify, mitigate, and remediate data privacy risks.

Support data governance, metadata management, and lineage tracking initiatives.

Provide guidance on cloud integration, access control, and identity governance.

Required Skills & Experience :

Expertise in data privacy, classification, and governance frameworks.

Proficient in SQL and data validation.

Experience with governance platforms (Collibra, OneTrust, BigID, Informatica).

Familiarity with identity governance tools (SailPoint, Okta, Azure AD).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proven experience in cloud modernization or enterprise data architecture projects.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (Master’s preferred), or equivalent experience.

Relevant cloud or data governance certifications are a plus.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $90,000 to $100,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
