Description
JOB STATEMENT : The Assistant Controller will support the Controller in managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial reporting. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting functions, assist with month-end and year-end close, and help implement internal controls and process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Duties :
- Lead and manage the daily operations of the accounting team, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Supervises, trains, and develops the accounting team, ensuring they have the resources and support to perform their duties effectively.
- Support the Controller with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Oversee month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
- Assist with preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.
- Support annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
- Develop, document, and enforce accounting policies and internal controls.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
- Serve as a key liaison between accounting and other departments, ensuring financial practices support overall business goals
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education / Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA candidate preferred).8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.Proficiency with ERP / accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.Strong communication skills and ability to partner with both finance and non-finance colleagues.High attention to detail, integrity, and confidentiality.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
