Were hiring a Senior Developer Databricks Engineer to join an innovative Information Systems team in Columbia, SC .
This hybrid role (3 days onsite per week) will focus on building and managing Databricks solutions at enterprise scale. Youll play a critical role in shaping the data platform that powers advanced analytics, governance, and secure data sharing across the organization.
What Youll Do :
- Lead the implementation and management of Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and medallion architectures.
- Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for Databricks and AWS provisioning.
- Integrate with Azure AD / Entra for secure identity and access management.
- Enforce cluster policies, compute governance, and FinOps optimization.
- Support ingestion patterns and data enablement for advanced analytics and machine learning.
- Partner with business and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing data environments.
What Youll Bring :
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).8+ years in application development, systems testing, or similar.3+ years managing Databricks environments in production at enterprise scale.Deep knowledge of Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, DLT, and SQL Warehouses.Experience with Spark, Python, AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Glue, CloudWatch).Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CloudFormation, CDK, or similar).Understanding of FinOps, tagging standards, and cloud cost optimization.Nice to Have :
Experience with R, R Studio, Posit Workbench, R Shiny, or Amazon Bedrock.
