Were hiring a Senior Developer Databricks Engineer to join an innovative Information Systems team in Columbia, SC .

This hybrid role (3 days onsite per week) will focus on building and managing Databricks solutions at enterprise scale. Youll play a critical role in shaping the data platform that powers advanced analytics, governance, and secure data sharing across the organization.

What Youll Do :

  • Lead the implementation and management of Databricks Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and medallion architectures.
  • Design and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions for Databricks and AWS provisioning.
  • Integrate with Azure AD / Entra for secure identity and access management.
  • Enforce cluster policies, compute governance, and FinOps optimization.
  • Support ingestion patterns and data enablement for advanced analytics and machine learning.
  • Partner with business and technology teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing data environments.

What Youll Bring :

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 8+ years in application development, systems testing, or similar.
  • 3+ years managing Databricks environments in production at enterprise scale.
  • Deep knowledge of Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, DLT, and SQL Warehouses.
  • Experience with Spark, Python, AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, Glue, CloudWatch).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (AWS CloudFormation, CDK, or similar).
  • Understanding of FinOps, tagging standards, and cloud cost optimization.

    • Nice to Have :

    Experience with R, R Studio, Posit Workbench, R Shiny, or Amazon Bedrock.

    Details :

  • Hybrid role (3 days onsite per week in Columbia, SC)
  • Standard hours : 8 : 30 AM 5 : 00 PM
