CT Technologist Job Requirements - Minimum 1 year of recent CT Technologist experience; trauma Level I experience required (ED/Trauma CT experience preferred)
- Active ARRT (CT) registration/certification required; ARRT (R) also required
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Hands-on experience with Siemens CT equipment required (CT scanner / CT imaging)
- EPIC electronic charting experience preferred (documentation in EPIC)
- Competency in starting peripheral IVs, preparing/administering contrast media, and performing a wide range of CT procedures including acute stroke and trauma protocols
- Ability to assist with interventional procedures (biopsies, aspirations, drainages) and support sterile technique
- COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- Must live more than 70 miles from the facility (local candidates not eligible for this travel assignment)
- Pending state license may be accepted at manager's discretion; travel CT tech licensing requirements apply
CT Technologist Responsibilities - Perform high-quality CT scans for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients across ED, ICU, inpatient, and outpatient settings
- Operate Siemens CT systems and follow standardized trauma and stroke imaging protocols across all units
- Prepare and administer IV contrast media; monitor patients for adverse reactions and follow contrast safety procedures
- Start peripheral IVs and assist with image-guided interventional procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, and drainages
- Provide timely imaging support for acute care - rapid turnaround for trauma and stroke cases in a Level I Trauma & Comprehensive Stroke Center
- Maintain accurate documentation in EPIC (when used) and ensure compliance with imaging protocols and radiation safety standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (radiologists, ED staff, ICU, technologists) to deliver excellent patient care
- Participate in continuing education and departmental training through the Continuing Resource Center
- Adhere to departmental safety protocols, including respiratory protection fit testing and infection prevention measures
